Game Decscription :
For fans of the original, The Sims 2 updates nearly every aspect of the Sims experience, featuring full 3D graphics, extensive new building and decorating options, and characters who are far more realistically complex than those of the first game. Characters in Sims 2 lead fuller, more complicated lives, and they are not immortal; they grow up, grow old, and eventually die (though gamers who would prefer their characters did not age can enter a code to turn this feature off). Since Sims now have a lifespan, perhaps it is fitting that they also have life goals. Concerns such as empty stomachs, full bladders, or a lack of entertainment still influence day-to-day activities, but each Sim is now more fundamentally motivated by one overall, lifelong aspirations.
With Nightlife, Sims 2 characters can go on dates in a new downtown area, full of restaurants and nightclubs that players can edit or rebuild as they desire. The success of a date is tracked, from moment to moment, and two Sims who hit it off will soon find new social interactions available to them, to help them develop their romantic relationships even further. Many of the expansion's new objects, such as the dining booth and the bowling alley, can be used to help Sims improve their relationships with one another while they have fun and quell other needs at the same time.
The Celebration Stuff package brings a large collection of party-themed objects, decorations, and clothing items into the game. Sims are equipped to throw gala weddings, memorable birthday parties, Southwestern style fiestas, and casual, fashionable yard parties.
GamePlay :
The Sims 2: Double Deluxe is in no way different from The Sims 2 where The Sims 2: Nightlife and The Sims 2: Celebration Stuff have been added. It allows the player to do whatever they can in the Sims 2, along with the expansions in gameplay that Nightlife added.
Players can create "Sims", virtual people that are centric to the franchise, and can create homes for them. As well as building homes, the player can build public areas as well. It is also possible to create a neighbourhood, as the same as in The Sims 2 core game. The playing of the sims and the building elements of the game are split into three "modes": live mode, buy mode and build mode. In buy mode the player can select objects to fill the lot. The objects are further separated into categories. In build mode, the player constructs the basic layout of the lot by adding walls, for example. In this mode, it is also possible to landscape the lot, by adding plants, water and editing the terrain. Live mode is where the player can interact with the sim. The Sim has specific needs to be fulfilled. For adults, these needs are Hunger, Comfort, Bladdar, Energy, Fun, Social, Hygiene, Environment. The needs are represented by bars, these bards turn green, yellow or red if the levels of the needs are good or bad. As The Sims 2: Nightlife is installed, every Sim can have Wants and Fears, and Attractions. Attractions are set as the sim ages into a teenager, or are set in Create-a-Sim. Wants and Fears are determined by the aspiration the sim is given. The Sims 2: Double Deluxe has 6 aspirations and a joke aspiration, grilled cheese, which can only be accessed by using an aspiration reward. Children have the Aspiration "Grow Up" until they are Teenagers, when the player can decide one of the following: Pleasure, Family, Romance, Knowledge, Wealth, Chef and Popularity.
